PREMIUM IP CLUSTER

AQUILA as project IST-1999-10077 in Key Action IV, Action line 1.1.2.-4.2.3, participates in the IST NGN Topical Working Group «Internet Infrastructure» in order to
exchange information between projects of same or similar Action Lines,
avoid overlapping work and to reach consensus in future activities,
use this consensus in order to contribute to standards bodies or fora like ETSI, IETF, Internet2 etc. with much broader support,
provide platform for co-operation in development and trials,
discuss and disseminate projects results.
   
 

"Premium IP Cluster" projects are : AQUILA, CADENUS, TEQUILA, and from Nov. 2002 MESCAL.

The three projects AQUILA, CADENUS and TEQUILA produced a Joint Deliverable "IST Premium IP Cluster", containing a brief description of the three projects in terms of objectives, architecture, service and resource management, the common goal of the Premium IP cluster projects as well as differences and their complementary approaches. Project reviews by the European Commission are held about every six months. A first joint review took place in Nice, France, November 9-10, 2000.
Further reviews were organized in

  • Anacapri, Isola di Capri, Italy, April 3-5, 2001
  • Dresden, Germany, November 21-23, 2001
  • Maastricht, The Netherlands, May 14-16, 2002
  • Florence, Italy, November 21-22, 2002

Before these joint reviews a common workshop (restricted to project participants) took place with presentations coming from these and invited projects. See also Publication & Conferences.
