Under Armour Golf Three Pieces of Golf Equipment Beginners Need
A lot less equipment is needed when a person first starts golfing than many realize. You won't need the fancy equipment until you've learned more about the basics of the game. You won't benefit from the advanced equipment, anyway, until you've mastered the basics. As you pick out your starter kit, keep these important tools in mind.
You should invest in a good pair of golf shoes as your first piece of equipment. You'll be spending a lot of time on your feet as you play a game of golf so make sure the shoes you purchase fit your feet and are comfortable to wear. Your first few games may be uncomfortable as you break in your shoes but you can minimize this by wearing them off the course or to the driving range first. Your spikes will need to be appropriate for the courses that you'll play most often. Soft spike shoes, for example, are required at most course in the U.S.
Another important thing to have is ball markers.
They are especially important if you're playing in a group. These markers are used to mark where your ball stopped on the green and won't interfere with the play of the others in your group. Golf etiquette dictates that the person farthest from the hole plays first. The play of the others in your group could be disrupted by your ball if a marker is not used on the green. These are not expensive at all but incredibly necessary for a good game of golf when playing with others.
A solid set of beginner's golf clubs is your final investment. Don't invest in the priciest set of golf clubs available when you're first learning how to golf. You don't know at first if you need to be using steel or flexible shafts. You also won't know the height you need for the best fit. You won't know if you need clubs that can help you with distance and control or if a pair of gloves would help you more. You'll find many different pieces of golf equipment that claim to be ideal for beginners. However, when you pick up these pieces of equipment at the get go you'll discover that there really is not much else you need in order to become familiar with the basics of the game. As your skills develop, you can start to obtain new pieces to add to your inventory for more assortment and potential in your golf game.
