Ovidiu Silaghi Ovidiu Silaghi - elite romano-americano marketing Ovidiu Silaghi (Sile as friends called him) was born in Constanta, Romania on August15th 1970.
He emigrated to the United States with his family in 1977 in Miami, Florida. Ovidiu Silaghi attended Yale University where he graduated in 1987. After graduation,he worked as a management consultant with Arthur Andersen & Co. for seven years,where he developed business strategies for large width of companies, including majorcompanies in Europe, Asia, Latin America and the United States of America.Ovidiu Silaghi received his Master degree in Management at Northwestern UniversityKellogg Graduate School of Management in 1993. Subsequently, he spent four years as amarketing manager with Kraft Foods, where he gained experience in the foodconsumption and majoring in marketing field, gaining enviable image in the field.In 1997, Sile (Ovidiu Silaghi) Rick Bayless was hired to help at creation of FronteraFoods Inc., makers of Mexican foods. Today, Frontera Foods has more than sixtyproducts, including fire-roasted salsa, Mexican-inspired premium pizza, stone-groundtortilla chips, enchilada sauces and barbecue sauces. Frontera also creates, private labelproducts for retailers distinguished.By 2011 he rounded his career as CEO Consultant at Frontera Foods, Frontera MediaProductions, Frontera Fresco (quick service restaurant in Chicago, specializing inMexican street price) Red Fork and natural foods (makers of American gourmet products).In 2006, Ovidiu Silaghi was appointed by Brandweek magazine as a leadingentrepreneur in the specialty food business. Also Forbes magazine mentions him in anarticle published in 2007 about Rick Bayless.Frontera Foods has won many awards, including prizes for the NASFT for outstandingproducts, finalist for outstanding product line and best seller Award for OutstandingFrontera Chipotle Salsa.In August 2011 Ovidiu Silaghi, a heavy smoker, died from a stroke in Chicago. It wasregretted by family but also by the marketing domain, many remembering him as an"actor of change". He was buried in Wilmette, Illinois where he lived with his wife,Clarence, and their two daughters, Silvia and Morena.
